This hose builder will allow you to request a hydraulic hose to your exact requirements. We're busy building a "how to" video which will walk you through identification of what you need for your hose. In the meanwhile, please refer to the resources tab to see the specifications for each type of hose and fitting. Angled fitting? If you need just one angled fitting, enter it as the FIRST fitting, and you'll get a standard angled fitting. Angled fittings for the second side will automatically be fabricated with a swivel to allow for attachment at any orientation.

    Hose Type Description for MXT

    Recommended For: Meets SAE 100R16 and 100R17* dimension and performance. Meets SAE 100R2 and SAE 100R19* performance. * Applies only to sizes up to and including -12 for SAE 100R17 and -8 for SAE 100R19.

    Tube: Black, oil resistant, synthetic rubber tube.

    Reinforcement: Braided high-tensile steel wire reinforcement.

    Cover: Black, abrasion resistant, synthetic rubber. Meets MSHA flame resistance.

    Temperature Range: -40°C to +100°C

    Fittings: Designed to be compatible exclusively with Gates MegaCrimp™ couplings

    Hose Type Description for EFG 4000

    For Biodegradable Hydraulic Fluids (Meets Flame Resistance Acceptance Designation “US. MSHA2G”)

    Recommended For: Extremely high pressure, high impulse applications. Exceeds all performance requirements for SAE 100R12, EN 856 R12 and EN 856 4SP (-16) Compatible with biodegradable hydraulic fluids like polyester, polyglycol and vegetable oil as well as standard petroleum-based fluids. Available in 36M and 60M coils.

    Tube: Black, oil-resistant synthetic rubber (Nitrile-Type C)

    Reinforcement: Four alternating layers of spiralled, high tensile steel wire.

    Cover: Black, oil resistant, synthetic rubber (Neoprene Type A). Colour coded lay line. Available with unique abrasion resistant MegaTuff® cover

    Temperature Range: -40°C to +121°C

    Hose Type Description for EFG 6000

    For Biodegradable Hydraulic Fluids (Meets Flame Resistance Acceptance Designation “US. MSHA2G”)

    Recommended For: Extremely high pressure, high impulse applications such as hydrostatic transmissions. EFG6K is designed to meet all requirements of SAE 100R15 specifications and performance requirements of EN 856 4SP (-6, -8, -10, and -12) and EN 856 4SH (-12, -16, and -20). Compatible with biodegradable hydraulic fluids like polyester, polyglycol and vegetable oil as well as standard petroleum based fluids. Available in 36M and 60M coils.

    Tube: Black, oil-resistant synthetic rubber (Nitrile-Type C)

    Reinforcement: Four (six for -20, -24 & -32) alternating layers of spiralled, high tensile steel.

    Cover: Black, oil resistant, synthetic rubber (Neoprene Type A). Colour coded lay line. Available with unique abrasion resistant MegaTuff® cover.

    Temperature Range: -40°C to +121°C

    Hose Type Description for G1

    Recommended For: Medium pressure hydraulic lines. Meets or exceeds the requirements of SAE 100R1 Type AT and performance requirements of EN 853 1SN.

    Tube: Black, oil-resistant synthetic rubber (Nitrile-Type C)

    Reinforcement: One braid of high-tensile steel wire.

    Cover: Black, oil and abrasion resistant synthetic rubber (Modified Nitrile).

    Temperature Range: -40°C to +100°C

    Fittings: (see crimp manuals for specifics): PC Fittings for -03 MegaCrimp® Fittings (except -24 and -32). GSP Fittings for -24 and -32

    Hose Type Description for G2

    Recommended For: High-pressure hydraulic oil lines. Meets or exceeds the requirements of SAE 100R2, ISO1436 2SN R2 and EN 853 2SN.

    Meets Flame Resistance Acceptance Designation “MSHA 2G”

    Tube: Black, oil resistant, synthetic rubber (Nitrile - Type C).

    Reinforcement: Two braids of high-tensile steel wire.

    Cover: Black, oil and abrasion resistant, thin synthetic rubber (Modified Nitrile - Type C2).

    Temperature Range: -40°C to +100°C.
